Claim Recovery – travel insurer saves $65,000

The whole story

When a travel insurer client told us that two UK policy holders had been involved in an accident in the US, we helped resolve a complex situation:

 

• The husband and wife had been hospitalised, and we managed the couple’s total inpatient care, before arranging their safe repatriation to the UK for further treatment
• Through good communication with the couple, we discovered that they were claiming from a third party motorist involved in the accident, so we liaised with their solicitor to ensure that their medical and repatriation expenses were included in the claim
• The plot thickened as we learned that the third party motorist had no insuranceWe then pursued the claim on behalf of the insurer with the non-insured motorist and a car rental company

 

We calculated the costs for all services provided by our travel insurer client to be in excess of $65,000 and went on to successfully recover all our client’s expenses in full.

 

Our level of service and care together with the relationship we built with the patients enabled us to gather the full facts of the case and in so-doing deliver real benefits for our patients and clients.
